In part one of this series on getting your business blog up and running we talked about post length. Now that you’ve got that piece of the equation in place, let’s talk a little bit about post frequency.
Due to the fact that you’ll want to get visitors into the habit of coming to your blog regularly, it’s critical that you provide them with new and interesting content on a regular basis. If you’ve got enough rock solid ideas and the time to produce an endless array of posts, generating content everyday would be fantastic. But it isn’t necessary in order for your blog to be successful.
The key to making your blog a successful part of your online marketing strategy is to produce with regularity that your readers can count on. Not all of your readers will subscribe via your RSS feed so it’s important that you try to deliver your content on the same days of the week, at the same time so it’s easy to find for those interested.
If you’ve only got time to produce three posts per week in your busy schedule it won’t necessarily hamper the success of your marketing efforts. Just make an effort to adhere to a regular and easy to follow schedule (like Monday, Wednesday and Friday at nine a.m.) so your readers can get accustomed, and look forward to, receiving fresh and insightful content.
